BRETT SHERWOOD - MASTER MAGICIAN
Brett Sherwood has been interested in the art of magic since the age of five and has perfected his art over a lifetime. He is unquestionably one of the most experienced and versatile magicians in the entire world!
Brett Sherwood is an acknowledged master of "sleight-of hand" magic having graduated from the only authorised school of magic in the world, the esteemed "Chavez College of Manual Dexterity and Prestidigitation", studying with renowned American magician Neil Foster who declared upon graduation: "One of my Finest Students". Brett further added to his theatrical academics by studying acting, dance, masks and mime (both illusionary and expressive) at The London Mime School graduating in 1982 with distinction.
Between 1981-1982 Brett Sherwood was the star performer in Mexico's top travelling circus show "Circo Magico Italiano" which required Brett to learn Spanish to both perform and publicise this show on TV and radio throughout Mexico. Brett acquired invaluable "hands-on" training assisted by thirty feathered Las Vegas style dancers performing the world's most spectacular illusions, incorporating a menagerie of wild animals, including Bengal Tigers, Panthers, Puma's, Elephants and domesticated Poodles, Parrots, Ducks and Doves. During this two year Mexican tour Brett performed live to over three million people!
Since Mexico, Brett's magic has taken him to over 160 different countries and he has appeared on the same bill as The Supremes, Gloria Gaynor, Victor Borge, Rita Moreno, Neil Sedaka, Jack Jones and over 40 other top television personalities.
Brett Sherwood has appeared on the world's finest luxury cruise liners, including the QE2, Sagafjord, Vistafjord, Victoria, Canberra, Royal Princess and was personally requested to perform on the maiden voyage of Great Britain's new super cruise liner Oriana, for which Brett specially devised his latest illusion show concept titled ENIGMA, which was "held-over" for an unprecedented fourth straight year!! Brett enjoys his successful career in the booming cruise ship market where he excels in both Stage and Cabaret, (performing both comedic and mysterious patter presentations with his partner Lesley-Ann) Close-up Magic (demonstrating pure sleight-of hand, requiring thousands of hours practice in order to present with faultless finesse).
Brett has also designed original Illusions featured in four of his own Magic Themed Production Shows, incorporating dancers and singers. Recently Brett completed a successful engagement at Universal Studios in Hollywood, USA and is also a personal magic contributor to Superstar Illusionist David Copperfield.
