BRIAN CONLEY

Available for
cabaret and corporate host work...
For as long as he can remember Brian wanted to be an entertainer and he has entertained us royally. In fact he has appeared in Eight Royal Variety Performances; received 'A Silver Heart' from Variety Club of Great Britain; was voted 'Show Business Personality of the Year' by The Grand Order of Water Rats; was voted Most Popular Comedy Performer at the National TV Awards; toured with Bob Hope finishing with a performance at The Royal Albert Hall; entertained at Prince Charles Fiftieth Birthday bash; starred in 'Me and My Girl' at The Adelphi, London; played the lead role in 'Jolson' at The Victoria Palace in London for a year and for six months in Canada and toured in his first straight play 'Elton John's Glasses'
After a string of highly successful series of light entertainment programmes - including 'This Way Up' (two series for LWT) and 'The Brian Conley Show' (Three series for LWT) and a series for ITV 'Time After Time' which was voted Best ITV Sit-Com at the Comedy Awards - Brian concentrated on live theatre work.
He is recognised as one of the finest exponents of Pantomime we have and, in 1998 appeared in the highest grossing production in the history of Pantomime when he topped the bill as Buttons in 'Cinderella' at the Birmingham Hippodrome, with his old mate Danny La Rue, for Producer Paul Elliott. Brian stayed with this show for three years subsequently appearing in both Plymouth and Southampton.
Then in 1999 The BBC asked him to host their Lottery Show. For thirteen weeks he took charge of 'We've Got Your Number' which became the Corporation's most watched Saturday Night programme. The whole thing was live and Brian even managed to cope with a streaker who infiltrated the studio!
On top of that he played Doug 'Dynamo' Digby in the highly praised 'Grimleys' for Channel Four. Two series of this Seventies based saga established Brian as a fine actor - but we knew that already didn't we?
With the new Millennium came another change of direction as ITV gave him 'The Brian Conley Show' - an eight week series of entertainment and chat with some great star guests. May 2000 saw the release of his first feature film 'Circus' in which he co-starred with John Hannah, Famke Janssen and Amanda Donohoe - which, by the way, is available on video and DVD.
Brian continues to look for new challenges and broader horizons. He has already played a cameo role in another film called 'Unconditional Love' with Kathy Bates. In 2005 Brian takes over the lead role Caractacus Potts in the West End’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
