BRIAN SALTER

His ease in putting over Internet and business related topics singles out Brian Salter as a great communicator and speaker.

Drawing on his many years as a professional broadcaster and presenter with the BBC, as well as his wealth of business experience and technical knowledge, he can identify the salient points to any audience. He has a most approachable, chatty speech style with an ability to put across technically complex subjects in non-technical, jargon-free language - focusing on the end-game (the customer!) - giving delegates the opportunity to take away practical ideas to incorporate into their own businesses.

His speech
"Internet past, present and future" is much in demand and his anecdotal style and humour, coupled with hard facts, make him a popular speaker.
Brian was for many years a presenter, writer and producer of business, current affairs and feature programmes on the BBC's World Service and BBC Radio 4. He has subsequently directed communications divisions in household name companies.

His hands-on and practical experience in setting up web and eBusiness sites, Intranets and Extranets - both in the UK and abroad (including spells in the Middle East and USA) - enables him to talk knowledgeably about this crucial business process.

Brian is equally at home chairing discussions on a wide range of business topics, appearing as a keynote speaker or speaking in a lighter vein after-dinner, and all his speeches are tailored to specific audiences. (He also has a reputation for wearing beautiful ties and sumptuous waistcoats!)

He has co-authored a number of books on subjects ranging from eBusiness and Internet technologies through event management to business planning and raising finance.

Brian is a founder of the Association of eBusiness Professionals, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), and a Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR).

In addition to his solo speeches, he and co-author Naomi Langford-Wood are in demand around the world as a highly effective double act.

Comments on his speeches include:
"Your speech was just what was needed. It hit exactly the right spot."
Powergen
"I have a complaint! I sleep through loads of speeches about the Internet and eBusiness. You had me on the edge of my seat throughout. Now I'll just have to catch up on my sleep in the next session!"
Peoplesoft, Bristol
"Brian explained, in clear terms to a multi-national audience, a complex subject and built a rapport that was unexpected."
German Computer Manufacturers Association, Munich
"You're really ahead of the game and so entertaining too. You guys are really prolific. It's hard to believe you've written 14 books in four years."
Pearson/FT conference in Marbella, Spain
"We never thought that you could keep such a wide ranging audience spellbound about business and the Internet. It was brilliant! Thank you."
Kingston College of Business and Technology
"I learned so much - and I can see how new technologies can affect my business. We shall certainly work on the integration of the internet into our business now. The presentation was amusing too - we'll remember it! "
Guildford Chamber of Commerce
"We set you an uphill task but you exceeded our expectations and gave us plenty to think about. "
Institute of Directors, Leeds
"Brian and Naomi were able to present a compelling business case for our industry to seriously consider Internet technologies, in an amusing and pithy presentation at our Annual Conference - it wasn't easy as they were given the graveyard shift - yet no-one made their escape or even nodded off!"
General Aviation and Manufacturers Association
