DAVID
PHILLIPS
An experienced public
relations, corporate affairs and research practitioner, he is the UK's leading
authority on Internet reputation and relationship management.
Author of 'Managing Your Reputation in Cyberspace' 'On-line Public
Relations' 2001, and 'Blazing
Netshine'.
As Public Relations Director with Lancer Boss Group in the late 1970s he was
responsible for Corporate Affairs, International Marketing, Investor Relations,
Community Affairs, Press and Media Relations and was a member of the three
strong international acquisitions team with acquisitions completed in UK,
Germany, France and Italy.
He formed Phillips And Company as a Public Relations consultancy in 1985 with
clients such as SKF, Rockwell Automation, Hughes Network Systems, Tussauds,
Hyster Europe, Boss Group, APV/Bitzer and Atlet.
The media content analysis and evaluation division was formed as Media
Measurement Ltd in 1992. It pioneered much of the media evaluation
industry techniques, developed a world leading software programme.
He was responsible for developing the first corporate relationship envisioning
software with Professor Jon White and formed Clarity Software Ltd.
His "Millennium Force"; lecture to the Institute of Public Relations
conference in 1995 was the first lecture on the effect of Information and
Communications Technologies to any public relations forum in the world.
This led to the formation of Internet Reputation Services Ltd in 1999 and
appointment as its leading consultant. In 1999 he was appointed as Chairman of
the joint United Kingdom Institute of Public Relations and Public Relations
Consultants' Association Internet Commission.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Relations.
