Gareth Edwards is an excellent speaker either as a motivational speaker (with a presentation based on the qualities of teamwork, commitment and achievement) or as a witty and anecdotal after dinner speaker.


Gareth Edwards retired from rugby in 1978 after playing for Wales on fifty three consecutive occasions - a record which may never be equalled. 

He also played for the British Lions on ten occasions - twice against South Africa and eight times against New Zealand. He scored twenty tries for Wales - another record.

First cap for Wales rugby-football 1967 (v France); Captain of Wales on thirteen occasions; youngest Captain of Wales (at 20 years) in 1968; British Lions Tours: 1968, 1971, 1974; Barbarians, 1967-78.

Member of Cardiff RFC, 1966 to present; a record 53 consecutive caps to 1978; retired 1978.
