JEREMY GUSCOTT
Rugby Union Speaker
Jeremy was an elusive and incisive attacking centre scoring tries on his debut for both England and the British Lions.
Starting with the mini-section at Bath, he rose through the ranks to gain a regular place in the Club's 1st XV and marked his international debut against Romania in 1989 with a hat-trick of tries.
After his England team-mate, Will Carling, dropped out because of injury he joined the Lions for their tour to Australia later in the year and played in two Tests. On his second Lions tour to New Zealand in 1993 he played in all three Tests.
He was a member of the England team which won successive Grand Slams 1991-2 before his career was interrupted by injury causing him to miss the 1993/94 season.
He returned to club rugby in the early part of the following season and immediately reclaimed his international place and helped England to another Grand
Slam.
