JOHN HUMPHRYS 

Former Foreign & Diplomatic Correspondent for BBC TV.

 He became one of the main BBC News Presenters in September 1981 and left to host Radio 4's Today Programme in 1989.

 He also hosted the BBC Sunday programme 'On the Record' in which he interviewed senior politicians. His book is entitled 'Who Cares?' drawing on his years in current affairs. 

John was awarded the prestigious Variety Club Radio Personality of the Year 2001.
