MICHAEL MAYNARD

Michael has led business and management courses across the UK and in Europe, specialising in creativity, teams, self-expression and communication skills.

He was a professional actor and presenter for nearly twenty years and became a familiar face on television appearing in such series as George and Mildred, Blake's Seven, Minder, The Professionals, No 73, Bergerac and Brookside. 

A pioneer of theatre techniques in education and subsequently business, he has written for radio and television and created many industrial training films and audio visual presentations.

He started Maynard Leigh Associates in 1989 with his partner, Andrew Leigh - the author of several management books. He has worked with thousands of people at all levels of management, to improve their personal effectiveness and presentation skills - including senior executives from companies such as British Airways, Coopers and Lybrand, Sun Life, Hilton Hotels and the London Stock Exchange.

Maynard Leigh Associates is rapidly emerging as one of the most innovative companies offering management development programmes. The company byline is Unlocking Peoples Potential and MLA are currently conducting surveys in many top British companies to assess whether managers feel they are being used to the utmost potential. Michael and his partner have written several books: Leading Your Team, Allen and Unwin, ACE Teams - creating start performance in business, Butterworth Heinemann and three in the Perfect Management Series on Presentation, Communication and Leadership for Arrow Books.
