NEVILLE KING

As a ventriloquist, Neville is a master of his art and as a dummy "Old Boy" epitomises the mischievous twinkle-eyed pensioner whom we all love or have loved at some time in our lives.

It was such a flesh and blood character who first inspired Neville to create "Old Boy" and made them one of the most original and hilarious acts in modern entertainment. Whilst passing through Sheffield on his way to a Club engagement, he stopped the car to ask an old man standing outside a Pub the direction. The old fellow staggered towards the car, grasped the door handle for support and indicated with alcoholic zeal. After touring around for ten minutes Neville found himself once again outside the same Pub, and the same unsteady figure weaved towards him. This time Neville asked "Can you tell me the way to Southampton?" Although obviously shaken, the old man did his best to oblige, and it was in observing his actions and reaction to this outrageous request, that the seeds for his most famous dummy were sown in his mind.

Neville has had the honour to appear before Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium.

His five world tours includes a tour of Canada in with the London Palladium Show. He has appeared in cabaret all over the world from Monte Carlo to Johannesburg.

"Neville King is several floors removed from the Traditional `Bottle of Beer' vent,. The audience is too busy laughing to be watching for his mouth moving.". Daily Express
