SID TATE This ex-Marine Engineering Officer turned professional comedian in 1983, following 10 years as a semi-pro in the comedy capital of the U. K . , Liverpool. Born and bred in Liverpool, Sid quickly established himself in the forefront of comedy. In 1985 - voted Best Club Comedian in Lancashire. In 1988 - voted Best Club Comedian in Blackpool. Sid has performed in numerous comedy shows for BBC Radio and taken cameo parts in various T.V shows including Coronation Street, Bread, Emmerdale Farm, First Among Equals and other dramas. For the past 10 years he has proved to be one of the busiest and most popular After Dinner Speakers in the U. K . , with his laid back style and his ability to make people laugh with material that is clever, clean and fully acceptable and appealing to any audience .Indeed, it is this ability which keeps Sid Tate constantly in demand at Dinners of all types, from Company functions to National Events. Sid was the main speaker at The Variety Club of Great Britain Golfing Society Dinner in December 1994, held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
