TONY BARNES "Charismatic, Dynamic, Inspirational..." "IT IS ONLY THROUGH PEOPLE THAT ORGANISATIONS OF THE FUTURE WILL GAIN A COMPETITIVE EDGE AND ATTAIN SUCCESS IN THE GLOBAL MARKET PLACE" Human Resource development has become the key to doing business in the nineties. There is no shortage of Human Resource conferences and seminars to attend but how many times have you walked away totally unaffected by anything you've heard? Now you can hear a speaker with a new and dynamic approach: Tony Barnes. His message is clear: Management must wake up to the demands of the current economic climate by developing the potential of all employees and creating the greater employee involvement necessary for any organisation's long-term success. He delivers this message with charisma and enthusiasm, making him an inspirational speaker for any occasion from management seminar to company conference. Tony graduated in industrial relations and resource development and now focuses on leadership, new style management, quality and Kaizen. He has had a long and distinguished career in training and management development, having worked under Dr William Edwards Deming in Japan in the fifties and sixties. Before coming to the UK in 1987, Tony worked for several years as a senior Human Resources advisor for the New Zealand Employers' Federation. He was also seconded to the United Nations' International Labour Organisation to set up and conduct human resource training programmes in companies throughout the Pacific Rim. His extensive experience as a consultant has allowed him to put these ideas to work for a large number of organisations including Rolls Royce, BP, British Telecom, Eagle Star, Lloyds TSB, Bank of England, and Reuters. He speaks regularly in the U.S and the Far East and is in strong demand by TECs and the Business Link network in the UK, largely due to the congruity of his philosophy with Investors in People, Customer Service, Continuous Improvement and the need and value of on-going staff training. He is also involved in Masterclass which involves companies who have achieved IIP and believes that Investors in People are the stepping stones to success for all organisations. He lectures regularly at the Institute of Directors, the Institute of Management, The Industrial Society and is the author of Kaizen Strategies for Successful Leadership published by Pitmans. He recently led the "Art of Leadership" course for the Institute of Directors and spoke in-house to over 30 companies as part of their people development programme. SEMINAR TOPICS INCLUDE: * Managing Change through your People. * KAIZEN - the Art of Continuous Improvement. * Leadership. * The Best of East Meets West. "In over twenty years in business I have never heard such an electrifying speaker." - Chris Davies Chairman, Group X Advertising. "Dynamic presentation.
